Research, reclaiming and conservation of products are the basis of the working method of La Centrale. Each of the furnishings come from different contexts, and they all tell their story. Reclaiming them means letting them live again these stories in environments which are totally different from the original ones, where the functionality and the aesthetics combine to shape unique compositions. Then many products are made thanks to the assembling of peaces belonging to different realities. So, not only reclaimed objects, but also new ones, studied and produces following the studio’s style, to be matched with the reclaimed objects or to be sold individually.
Reclaiming and decontextualization are at the basis of our design method.
